The Model Of Ministry Is Jesus Christ, Not A Corporation Or A Man

Following Jesus Christ, not a company or a man, is the model of ministry.

It’s important to keep in mind the real goal of ministry in today’s environment, when fame and success frequently determine how we view leadership. Jesus Christ alone should serve as the standard for all ministry, never a business organisation or a man’s charisma. This article explores the significance of seeking God’s glory in ministry rather than pursuing personal glorification.

Jesus continuously showed humility, selflessness, and a desire to exalt his heavenly Father throughout the course of his public career. According to Matthew 20:28, “Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many,” This verse perfectly captures the spirit of Jesus’ ministry model, which emphasises selfless service to others while directing attention to God’s glory.

The real goal of ministry might be hampered by a corporate attitude or a concentration on personal fame, though. Jesus’ teachings on servant leadership are found in Mark 10:42–45, where he emphasises the necessity of becoming a servant to everyone for those who desire greatness in the Kingdom of God. Additionally, 1 Corinthians 10:31 reminds us, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” The goal of ministry is to exalt God, not to boast or pursue personal wealth, as this text affirms.

It is crucial that we model our ministry after Jesus in terms of our objectives, procedures, and mentality. He taught us to put others before ourselves by prioritising love, compassion, and selflessness in all of his relationships. This is beautifully demonstrated in Philippians 2:5-8, where it is said, “In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus, Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.”

It is crucial to keep in mind that Jesus Christ is our ultimate role model when we engage in ministry. Not to pursue personal notoriety or establish a corporate structure, but to glorify God and help others. By imitating Jesus, we can make sure that the genuine purpose of service is reflected in our deeds, attitudes, and motivations. Let us try to emulate Jesus’ humility, selflessness, and desire to exalt God in all that we do.

May God remember you and grant us the Grace to walk in the fear of God.

Be Blessed dear!!!
