Walking in God’s light will always upset the darkness in other people. Many people don’t get this. They think conflict is always natural or emotional or accidental, but there are times when you touch something deeper, more spiritual, and more secret inside a person. something hidden inside a person that cannot coexist with the presence, authority, and truth you carry. And when that happens, the spirit inside them reacts. Not because of who you are, but because of what you represent. People and places that are ruled by hidden forces will be annoyed every time God raises you up, cleanses you, or gives you a new task. The scriptures say that light shines in the dark, but the dark can’t understand it. Darkness doesn’t make deals with light. Darkness can’t block out light. When the presence of God inside you bothers a demon inside someone else, there are predictable responses, patterns, behaviours, and manifestations that show what’s living below the surface.
A lot of you have been puzzled by the weird ways people around you have reacted. You ponder what triggered their sudden change. What makes them feel bad when they’re around me? What was the point of their random attack on me? Why do they become upset about my happiness, my peace, and my progress? And the Holy Spirit says, “Because what is inside you annoys what is controlling them.” When the oil in your life begins to rise. People who are spiritually compromised cannot remain neutral. They must have a reaction to something. There are five ways people respond when the demons within them become irritated by your presence. And if you understand these
reactions, you will stop taking things personally. You will stop fighting unnecessary battles. You will stop doubting your assignment. And you will start recognizing that their reaction is confirmation of your spiritual authority.
They start to feel more uncomfortable around you than normal. Neither they nor you can explain it. But there is a moral conflict in them. Their mood gets tense when you enter the room. Their smile turns into a fake one. They become tense in their stance. They don’t make eye contact. They don’t talk. They don’t want to be around you. Your spirit reveals their spirit, not what you said. They can’t stand the vibration you carry. You have a kind of truth that they can’t hide from. Being around you is like looking in a mirror. They see all the things they don’t want to face.
Some of you have been asking, “Why do some people distance themselves from me?” Why do they stay away from me when I haven’t done anything wrong? Your light is what makes the living things in them angry. When a devil is around someone who has truth, purity, and good judgement, it can’t relax. You don’t have to say anything. You don’t have to give a sermon. They are guilty just because you exist. And instead of facing what is wrong inside them, they stay away from you. Because darkness is always more at home when there is no light. They actually don’t hate you. They are afraid of being exposed. They are afraid of what the spirit inside of you sees.
Irrational offence is the second response. They suddenly think that everything you say is an attack. They think your good goals are really bad. They change what you say. They become too sensitive. They make excuses to be upset. And that’s easy to explain. Truth makes demonic beings act. Even when the truth is said softly. Even if the truth isn’t aimed at them. Even when the truth is not said but is suggested. A devil can’t handle the truth because it breaks down their lies. People who are under demonic control, whether they know it or not, are offended by the truth, even when it doesn’t have anything to do with them. This is why you can say something easy, innocent, or harmless, and they get very angry or annoyed. They are not the ones. That’s what makes them work.
Demons don’t like being told what to do. Demons hate it when things are clear. Purity makes demons very angry. Demons hate justice. They react because they are offended because offence causes distance, and distance protects the stronghold they don’t want broken. You need to know when someone is not mad at what you say but at who you are.
Sudden hostility is the third response. People who used to like you start to be against you. They start talking badly about you when you’re not around. They start to compete with you, blame you, hurt you, or talk about you for no reason. When devils inside people get annoyed, they make them fight the thing that annoyed them. You didn’t start the fight, but something in them wants to fight you. They think you are a danger. They think you’re a bother. They think your growth is a threat. And they use hostility as a defence strategy. This is why Jesus could walk into a church and say nothing evil, and a man who was possessed would suddenly yell, “Why have you come here to torment us?” Pain. He had not been touched by Jesus. He had not been told off by Jesus. He had not been spoken to by Jesus. But just being there was enough to torture the man’s insides. And you go through the same thing. Some people are mean to you because the spiritual energy you carry hurts the darkness inside them. The darkness that is inside them. You should always remember that devils know who you are before other people do. They can tell what your calling is. They can feel your power. They can sense your task. So they respond aggressively to silence you, discourage you, or distract you. You are a gift and a privilege.
Manipulation is the fourth response. When they can’t use anger to push you away and hostility to make you weak, the demon inside them will try to change tactics and use manipulation instead. All of a sudden, they want to control how you feel. They pretend to be the victim. They make you feel guilty. They try to change your choices. They put a lot of pressure on you to give in. They try to get you to have unhealthy talks, expectations, and attachments. The demon is trying to get its power back by using manipulation. If it can’t push you away, it will try to pull you into mental bondage. Manipulation is a great tool for demons because it makes it harder for people to make good choices. Manipulation crosses limits. Soul ties are formed through manipulation. Manipulation makes opportunities. When someone changes how they talk, act, or treat you to make you feel guilty or get their way, you need to see the intention behind it and stay strong. You need to set limits. The enemy will employ emotional manipulation to deprive you of your spiritual power, but you must resist surrendering to their control. Many of you have felt tired, irritated, and confused by people who keep switching between anger, neediness, silence, and guilt. They don’t realise that their behaviour is inconsistent in a spiritual way. They are not reacting out of love or concern, but because they are spiritually annoyed.
Spiritual exposure is the fifth response. When demons are annoyed for a long time and your power stays strong, the spirit inside them will finally come out in their words or actions. At some point, they say something that isn’t them. They change the way they talk, the words they use, and the way they act. Something that was hidden comes out, and something that was buried talks. There are times when irritation becomes sabotage. They may try to hinder your progress. They may gossip. They may misrepresent you. They may speak negatively behind your back. They may try to influence others to see you differently. This is often the enemy’s attempt to block the influence of your anointing. If he can damage your reputation, he hopes to reduce your impact. But sabotage only reveals how powerful your presence truly is. The enemy does not attack what he does not fear. Sometimes, this irritation manifests as a spiritual attack in your dreams, thoughts, and emotions.
dreams, your thoughts, your emotions. You start to feel heaviness after being around certain people. You feel drained. You feel disturbed. You feel spiritually assaulted. This is because the demon in them reacted to you and then tried to retaliate. But even those attacks are
confirmations. You don’t get attacked unless you’re a threat. You don’t irritate darkness unless You carry light. All these reactions – withdrawal, hostility, jealousy, projection, sabotage, volatility and silence are spiritual clues. Clues that what you carry is shaking the darkness around you. Clues that heaven’s mark is on your life. Clues that your identity is stronger than you
realize. Your presence carries significant weight in the spirit realm. So when you begin to understand these patterns, you will stop taking offence. Stop feeling discouraged and stop questioning your purpose. Every reaction you see is a confirmation that you are moving in the
authority and anointing God has placed on your life. Remember this. If you irritate demons, it means you are aligned with heaven. If you provoke the spirit of darkness, it means you are walking in your assignment. Do not shrink. Do not apologise. Do not hide your light. Stand firm in your identity. Stand strong in your calling and continue to walk boldly in the presence of God. The reactions of people around you are not a reflection of your weakness. They are evidence of your spiritual strength. Keep shining, keep advancing, and keep irritating the forces of darkness because your breakthrough, your purpose, and your destiny are unstoppable.
