Your spouse is not your real-life partner! Not your mother. Not your father. Not your husband. Neither your good friend nor even your kids. Your Body! You frequently overlook your body, which is the one thing that remains with you from birth until death.

Your body whispers when it’s exhausted. It shouts when you don’t pay attention. And you are the only one who can bear the consequences when it ultimately gives up, what you consume, how you sleep, and how you respond to stress. You avoid engaging in physical activities. You can’t stop eating the sugar. All of them are either hate or love letters to your body. Additionally, your body reads them constantly.

You can replace a job. You have the option to wed someone else should you lose a spouse. You have the right to disown anyone. You are able to borrow funds. However, you cannot trade bodies. Thus, begin to be present for your true love… — Eat mindfully. — Get moving every day. — Sleep as if it were sacrosanct. Think nourishing ideas rather than poisonous ones. — Refuse the tension that is slowly killing you.

To you my fellow Believers in Christ Jesus, The scripture that supports this notion is 1 Corinthians 6:19-20: “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” This scripture emphasizes the importance of caring for and honoring our bodies as they are a gift from God and house the Holy Spirit.

You should not view your body as just a container. It is a companion. Because it matters, treat it as such. Yes, your body is where you live. Be kind to your body. Take excellent care of it! Commit your life to Christ Jesus, too. So that your soul will be saved.

Thanks for reading. Be blessed mightily of God. Shalom and life to you.
