It seems that some prophets in Africa are being given prophecies these days about political figures, elections, or visionaries dying off year by year, but they are not receiving revelations from God about solutions to the cancer in the church or society, new natural resource discoveries, souls to be won for Christ, repentance, or vaccines that have the potential to change or advance humanity. Given this stark variance, it is unclear what these prophets consider to be their goals and areas of focus.
Although prophets are important consultants and guides to societies, it is important to recognize that their views and behaviours frequently have an impact on the people who follow their prophecies. When political figures and elections come under scrutiny, people may become agitated and divided as they wait to see how the prophecies will come to pass. Death predictions also instill fear and anxiety in the minds of those who are subjected to or connected to the prophetic message.
But there don’t seem to be any prophecies about new natural resources or vaccines that could help mankind. These discoveries have the power to improve people’s lives, change communities, and progress global development. They still don’t appear to be consistent with the prophets’ messages, though. Research and development are being used by the Chinese, the Japanese, and other industrialized countries to improve the world for people. While Israel is a nation full of prophets. The Prophets in Israel traditionally do not give direct predictions or prophecies about election outcomes. Their focus was typically on spiritual matters and promoting righteousness and obedience to God’s commands. While they may have offered moral and ethical guidance regarding leadership and governance, their role was not centered around predicting specific election results.
Israel uses research and development to advance science and technology, we in Africa, especially Ghana, are busy making predictions about who will win parliamentary seats, become a political party’s flag bearer, and win elections. What neglectful focus! 10 years from now Life will ask us questions, for example, what we planned to achieve 10 years ago.
This discrepancy raises questions about the motivations and intentions of the prophecies. Do the prophets’ predictions of public policies and individual catastrophes serve primarily as a means of self-promotion and relevance? When it comes to making choices that could greatly improve things, are they failing to ask for wisdom from above?
Bible verses emphasize how important it is to approach God for wisdom and understanding. “For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright,” according to Proverbs 2:6-7. It reminds us that genuine wisdom is a gift from God and ought to be sought for.
In addition, James 1:5 states, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, for He is generous and gives to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” This verse encourages people to turn to God and seek His guidance in all areas of life, including knowledge and insight that can benefit humanity.
The absence of predictions on the discovery of new natural resources like Gold, Lithium, Uranium or vaccines raises the question of whether the prophets are focusing on topics that get media attention rather than sincerely seeking divine revelation. It is important to thoroughly evaluate the purpose and import of the beliefs and prophecies made by religious leaders and followers. They might concentrate their efforts on asking for heavenly guidance on matters that have the potential to transform society by reordering their priorities.”
Thanks for reading. May God’s light and faithful care guide you through the new year safely and successfully in Jesus Name.
Thank you Rev! You hit the nail right where it should be! What do we do about these rent-seeking men of God who have brainwashed their followers to the point where nothing else matters except for what comes out of the mouth of their ‘prophet’?
Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.“
Matthew 13:30 KJV
