It is in direct opposition to genuine biblical theology for church leaders, Prophets and Ministry Practicians to use manipulation to extract money from their congregants. This article attempts to investigate the idea that these kinds of deceptive behaviours are incompatible with biblical values and teachings and it is akin to witchcraft and divination. Furthermore, it is deemed manipulative and transactional rather than originating from genuine faith when someone is paid for prayers and pressured to give money at prayer sessions or meetings. You may have a genuine ministry but if you use the tools of the kingdom of darkness such as manipulation to achieve your objectives it is divination and corruption. Let’s examine some pertinent passages from the Bible that lend credence to this idea.
Proverbs: 22:16–22:18
“Whoever oppresses the poor to increase his own wealth or gives to the rich will only come to poverty.”
This verse issues a warning against actions that take advantage of the less fortunate for one’s own gain. Organizing a 3 days prophetic meeting that ends each day with seed sowing is not of God but merchandizing in the house of God. In addition to being against biblical values of justice and compassion, manipulating the church for financial gain can result in spiritual deprivation.
Second Scripture (2 Corinthians 9:7)
“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
This stanza underscores the significance of giving voluntarily and shows that giving should be motivated by one’s own choice rather than coercion or manipulation. It fosters an attitude of giving that comes from a willing heart as opposed to outside force. The church needs money to fund its operations and projects but it should desist from raising such funds through manipulations.
According to Mathew 10:8 We are to Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy,[a] drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.
Christ specifies that the message of the kingdom is not something they should ever sell. The disciples had received it for free from Jesus, and they were to offer it freely to all who would come and hear and believe. The heart of the good news of Jesus is the grace of God, which is always a free gift (Ephesians 2:8–9)
In conclusion, solid biblical doctrine is incompatible with using deception as a means of extorting money from church membership. It’s similar to things like witchcraft and divination, which the Bible expressly forbids. The sincerity and authenticity of a biblical faith are compromised when prayers are purchased and when manipulative tactics are used during prayer meetings or events. As an alternative, the church ought to concentrate on imparting the genuine gospel message and encouraging its members to give voluntarily and with integrity and compassion. The church may create an atmosphere where sincere faith and spirituality grow by keeping these scriptural guidelines.
Jesus’ atoning work is free and without any conditions. It is not something that can be purchased with money or resources. The Holy Ghost is given to those who repent and are baptized in Jesus’ name for sin forgiveness. The gift of God is unpaid, and it is not something that can be bought with money. Jesus’ gift is not something that can be purchased with money, but rather, it is a gift from God, not something that can be bought with money.
