For decades, the church has been in prayer and experiencing the move of the Holy Spirit. It is about time that, in addition to prayers, we start using our God-given thinking faculties and start thinking through meditation in this new year. We should allow God to also talk to us. Failure to plan is to plan to fail. Indeed, the church has been falling for decades without results. If you fall 40 times in a year and have no life compass or plan for your life and no action grid for yourself, your organization, or your church, nothing will change at the end of every year, regardless of the declaration of the slogan for the year. The young men at Silicon Valley designing solutions for the world don’t fall; the people of China making discoveries and building the fastest train don’t fall but are making a phenomenon impact in the world. Many believers have been falling for years now and even sometimes break chairs in the auditorium but are not productive, truth is that prayers without action is said to be superstition and could lead to disillusion and frustration. It is about time we stand and think. God says, Come and let us reason together.
