Based solely on appearances and posts on social media, it is easy to believe that everyone in today’s society is doing well. But the truth is frequently very different. While maintaining a façade of prosperity and contentment, many people are secretly battling a variety of obstacles. This kind of emotional labour is sometimes experienced by many Believers including Bishops, Pastors, C.E.Os, Media Persons, Celebrities Parliamentarians, Presidents etc.
You never know what struggles somebody may be going through behind closed doors, so it’s critical to be compassionate and empathic with them. It can be detrimental and ineffective to judge people prematurely. Alternatively, demonstrating compassion, love, and support can have a profound impact on someone’s life.
Proverbs 15:1—”A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger”—is one Bible verse that bolsters this idea. The power of our words and the significance of having empathy and understanding for others, particularly during difficult times, are both emphasized in this passage.
In summary, let us endeavour to be a positive influence and inspiration to people in our Churches, offices or vicinity, providing a sympathetic ear, consoling words, and a helpful hand to those who might be experiencing silent difficulties. May God grant us all the wisdom, strength and love we need to support and love one another.
