The idea that “when water is boiling, you cannot see your reflection.” In the same way, anger prevents you from seeing reality. “Clarity comes when the waters calm” highlights how crucial it is to keep your mind and heart clear in order to view things for what they actually are. Anger can impair our judgement and make it difficult for us to see reality, just as boiling water distorts reflections.

In James 1:19–20, it is stated: “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.” This verse serves as a helpful reminder of the destructive nature of rage and the necessity of keeping one’s composure and clarity when seeking justice and the truth.

We can gain insight and clarity when we give ourselves permission to relax and let go of our rage. A serene mental state enables us to see the truth and make informed decisions, just as still seas reflect light well. It is possible to overcome obstacles with clarity and inner serenity if we exercise patience and self-control.

By practicing patience and self-control, we can navigate through challenges with a clear perspective and find peace within ourselves. It is essential to remember that in moments of anger, our judgement may be clouded, and it is crucial to take a step back, breathe, and reflect before reacting hastily. By allowing ourselves to calm down and approach situations with clarity, we can better understand the truth and make decisions that align with our values and beliefs.

Ultimately, the notion that clarity comes when the waters are calm serves as a reminder to prioritise inner peace and emotional intelligence in order to see things as they truly are.

Achieving true clarity in life requires a deliberate focus on cultivating inner peace and emotional intelligence. Only by prioritizing these qualities can you gain a deep understanding of the world and your place in it. With a calm and centered mind, you will be better equipped to see things as they truly are and make sound decisions that lead to a fulfilling life. So, invest in your emotional wellbeing today and watch as your perspective on life transforms for the better. Just like how still waters reflect clearly, a tranquil state of mind enables us to see the truth and respond with wisdom and grace.

Thanks for reading. May The Good Lord keep your heart and mind perfectly safe. Shalom and life to you dear.
